John makes comparison with tai chi where you may elude backwards then enter, whereas in GC you’re always entering but simultaneously getting out of the way.

Similarly, by allowing the enemy to enter in to you (because you’re Unavailable) they overextend and leave themselves open to attack.

Sometimes you’re out of position to hit a vital target as you enter and elude. At about 8:00, John does a destruction on the weapon that would most likely strike next (punch to the biceps) because that’s what presents itself.
