The Tenth Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize

A prize of £1,750 and publication by The Waywiser Press in the UK and the USA is given annually for a poetry collection by an author who has published no more than one previous poetry collection. The winner will give a reading at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington D.C. in the autumn of 2015, where he or she will appear with the tenth contest's judge. For this contest you are challenged to write a Quatrain poem. A Quatrain is a poem that has four lines and also has a specific rhyming scheme. The word quatrain comes from Latin and French words meaning "four." Your poems stanzas must have four lines. There can be multiple stanzas. It must rhyme. The rhyme scheme is up to you.
