Andrew Duncan, GTX Corp President of business development stated, “Our experience and knowledge in miniaturizing technology in the wearable space is allowing us to expand beyond just tracking seniors with Alzheimer’s. We are now looking at the kids market, predictive and preventive market and a host of enterprise applications. Our expansion into the health and wellness market by simply and accurately monitoring how someone walks is especially exciting. We will be able to predict when a person might be susceptible to a fall, which is an area of vital importance in the overall senior care industry and with fall risk injuries accounting for over $31 billion in the U.S. annually, we believe this this is a far larger market for us to explore. Of course the kids market could also be very significant.”
“We are very pleased to be working with GTX to launch their first generation GPS tracking products for children in the U.K,” said Phil Iles, Sales Manager for Possum LTD, the U.K. distributor for GTX Corp. “We have received strong interest from caregivers looking after young children with Learning Disabilities like Autism since the introduction of the GPS SmartSole and already have many young adolescent customers using the product. The introduction of a children’s size GPS SmartSole allows us to broaden our reach and fulfill pent up demand”.
“We look forward to supporting the launch of this new range of GTX health and safety related products in Scandinavia.” commented Tommy Rasmussen, Managing Director of SafeCall Denmark ApS, “We strongly believe that the introduction of children’s tracking products as well as insoles with bio-sensors allowing the monitoring of a person’s health, whatever their age will allow us to continue to grow and diversify business opportunities in the region.”
