I have business standards, too.
One of my most deeply ingrained business standards is that I have no interest in "guessing" what my customers are thinking or feeling
Similarly, I don’t want to “push” my thoughts and feelings or beliefs on to a client.
I want to learn from them how they think.
Here's an example from my music studio:
When I do fall registration in my studio, I include a number of questions asking for feedback and ideas from my studio parents.
I want to learn the challenges they are having with their kids. I want to figure out their belief system and biases. I want to learn their goals and perspectives.
I'll then use that information to improve my program. I'll make their lives easier. I'll serve them.
It’s also why I want to learn from you what you are thinking. I want to learn what resources would be helpful to you.
What questions do you have? What problems are you trying to solve in your studio? What resources could I make for you to make your business life easier?
I wouldn’t eat pizza from the trash.
And… I wouldn’t pretend to know you better than you know yourself!
