Subject: Wonder Woman teaches you a lesson

If you read this email, you will learn something new about promoting your teaching studio. You are receiving this email, because you signed up to receive educational updates from Grow Your Music Studio.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed…

But over the last decade, movie studios have made a few superhero movies.

Is it just me? Is anyone else picking up on this?

I don't care who you are, that's just cool

Haha, of course, I’m kidding.

It’s almost a joke now.

This genre of movies has become so dominant, that it has KILLED entire other genres of movies.

Think about how many ICONIC comedies and romantic comedies were made in the 2000’s (ahem, Mean Girls or Wedding Crashers)… and now think about the last 10 years.

There’s been like 3 good comedies… tops.

And, the “teen dystopian movie” franchise was killed faster than competitors in the Hunger Games.

I’m still a bit disturbed that our culture went nuts for a movie about kids killing kids

Wonder Woman and her pals are clearly the box office winners, and only now… after 15 years… is this trend starting to wane.

If you own a music school or music studio, there’s a lesson to learn here.

What Your Music School Needs

To make it really simple… your school needs exposure.

And lots of it.

Superhero movie levels of exposure.

Now, you might protest at this because - if you’re like me - you don’t really care about these movies anymore. You might never have cared about them.

But, even the “lesser” superhero movies were making over $500 - $750 million dollars at the box office before the pandemic.

So, you might be annoyed at how “present” they are, but you have to remember...

The movies weren’t made for us.

They were made for the people really really invested in the characters. Or, people who just liked that sort of entertainment.

They were made for the people looking for it.

The “Exposure” Mistake Music Schools Make

I wrote about this in the “10 Solutions” email I sent earlier this week (you can check it out here if you missed that one).

But, there are a number of mistakes that music school owners make:

1> You just don’t have enough people coming to your site or social media profiles…. Because you don’t know how to generate that kind of traffic. Most schools only have 25 - 75 people discovering their school per month when it should be 10x that number.

2> These schools aren’t getting re-exposure… Because there isn’t an offer enticing enough to make people want to connect with that school. They’re not signing up for your email list, they aren’t liking your social profile, they aren’t connecting with you on messenger or by phone. They see you once and then they disappear forever.

3> Unfortunately, for the precious few people that actually do connect (maybe they fill out your website’s contact form or send a Facebook message)... the studio owner follows up one or two times and then stops. Over and over again, I’ve heard music studio owners tell me that they’re afraid that they’ll make someone “mad” because they are following up too much.

And so, studios and schools limp along with low exposure and enrollment numbers.

This is why I created Studio Marketing Masterclass…

I teach studio owners how to:

1> 10x the number of people finding their studio

2> Create compelling offers, messaging, and ad copy that make people want to reach out NOW

3> Follow up in a persistent but respectful way so that they sign on more of the people discovering them

4> Confidently put yourself out there and get exposure for your blockbuster music lesson program!!!!!

Remember... if they’re looking for lessons, they want to find you. And they want you to follow up!!!

Are you ready to change your results?

Later this month, I’m opening up my premier studio growth training: Studio Marketing Masterclass.

Over 300 studios have gone through this class (you can learn from a few of them here).

If you’d like to apply to join this class, click the button below to signal your interest.

You will receive this application this coming Monday, October 8th.

Have a great day!

Best,

Daniel
