There are several ways to make more income from your career:
Get more clients
Have your clients enroll in multiple programs
Make more from your current clients
Most owners focus on the first two…
But those are the most difficult to do!
They require big investments of time, creativity, and (possibly) money.
The third is (by far) the easiest… but most owners reject it outright because they’re afraid to raise rates.
So… here’s my simple three step system for raising your rates:
Pick a new rate (slightly higher)
Use that new rate with incoming students
If they don’t reject the rate, announce to current students that the price is going up at a future date (3 - 6 months out from when you make the announcement)
It’s really that simple.
I once raised my rate 4 times over the course of a few months… simply by experimenting and seeing if new students would reject the rate.
Yes, it was a little bit of an admin hassle… but it was well worth it!
And - not long after - I raised everyone in the studio to that rate.
This works every time.
Now… there is a way this could be challenging.
If you aren’t getting many (or any) new students each month… you won’t have new clients on which to “try” the new rate.
If that’s the case…
That’s why I created Studio Marketing Masterclass…
If getting new students is a challenge for you, I will personally help you get more students each month.
Each week, I meet with those who are enrolled in the Masterclass and I answer questions on all sorts of topics:
What to put on your studio website
How to create great ads
How to create great social media posts
How to create marketing that is unique to YOUR studio and location
How to improve your studio’s lesson programs
How to keep students longer (a big part of your growth solution!)
How to improve your first lesson
What to say to people when they first reach out to you
How to get people to actually sign up after they reach out to you
What NOT to do when you’re marketing your studio (so you don’t waste time on ineffective methods)
And, keep in mind… what makes this so valuable is that these aren’t generic answers…
The answer I will give you will be unique to YOUR studio and YOUR situation…
Because I’m going to take the time to get to know YOU and your studio.
If you’d like to get personalized help from me on growing your business and getting more music students… you can do so on October 30th.
But…
You won’t get the opportunity until you apply to join the class.
