At one point in my career, I was making around $48k per year. And, I was working quite a lot teaching kids 1 on 1.
On Wednesdays I started at 7:30am with homeschool families.
I finished up at 9pm at night with my high schoolers.
I taught fourteen 1:1 lessons.
But… I had a vision… A way to end those really long work days.
I wanted to get group lessons going.
And even though I had the goal and a plan…
I wasn’t getting to my goal.
Eventually, I did get to that goal number.
But it took me 5 years.
You could say that the effect of my ignorance and taking the wrong actions cost me $50k per year.
And over that 5 year period… it cost me over $250k…
Because not only did I hit $100k, I far surpassed it once I got my group program running.
Our struggles, our lack of knowledge, our lack of action, our choice of the wrong actions…
This is the hidden cost that we all bear. And, we don’t notice it because we can’t see what we’re NOT doing.

2. How long does it take?
Depends on how big your goals are. I usually recommend that people shoot for big goals. It’s just as much work as a small goal… so you might as well aim high.
