Subject: [CASE STUDY] Kaitlyn: From Public School to Private Teaching

A Change of Pace

There is a new post on the blog... but today's post is quite different.

There are now over a thousand weekly readers of this blog.

I've heard something very interesting from some readers.

"Daniel, you have great advice... but it's easy for you. It would never work for me."

To that end, I have written a story of a teacher who:

- Came into contact with me because of my blog
- Got early success with some of the material she read (the Facebook guide, etc.)
- Wanted to "take it to the next level"

Allow me to introduce you to Kaitlyn:

"I want you to help me quit my job."

This is the message I received on Facebook from Kaitlyn Davidson on February 20th of this year.

As I began to talk to Kaitlyn, I learned that she taught music in Atlanta’s public schools.

She had a small studio of students that she taught “after hours” and on Saturdays.

She wanted to make the jump from public teaching to private teaching.

This is the story of how Kaitlyn was able to leave her job and begin her journey towards starting her own music school.

In today’s post, I will show you:
• An inspiring story of a private studio teacher who wanted more
• How she was able to effectively raise her rates - using a very simple marketing principle
• Three important lessons that every teacher should take to heart - whether you have 30 students or 300

If you like it... pass it on!

Daniel
