Subject: What I don't talk enough about 🎙️

Rescheduled Photo Critique + Upcoming Events

#atthegrove

I never do this.

Fair warning: I'm about to brag a little.

If that's not your cup of tea, go ahead and scroll on down!

Still with me?

Okay, great.

A couple of weeks ago I had an impromptu mentorship session with a photographer friend who needed to send a quote and was hesitant about charging what she knew she should be charging.

Sound familiar?

YEAH.

At the end of the call, she asked me why I don't advertise more that I offer mentorship sessions.

My answer?

Truth is, I've helped dozens of photographers gain clarity and direction.

Truth is, I've mentored in both English and Spanish.

Truth is, I've mentored photographers in 7 different countries, across 3 continents.

Truth is, I've loved every minute.

What I love just as much as our time together?

The kind words I get in return:

"She geared the sessions towards my needs and answered all my questions thoroughly while showing me detailed examples of ways to solve some of my technical photography issues. Natalie is patient, knowledgeable, professional, and generous with her time."

---

"La información y recomendaciones que he recibido de Natalia han sido muy valiosas. La actividad ha sido muy bien adaptada a mis expectativas y necesidades."

---

"Not only does Natalia have a gift for explaining complex concepts with great clarity, but she's also very personable and a pleasure to work with.
Natalia's knowledge of photography as well as the business and process thereof _ plus years of experience in the field _ make her the perfect all-round mentor."

---

"Natalia has been a fountain of knowledge and has provided me with direct advice with a lot of kindness"

So what do these mentorship sessions look like?

Well, not like traditional mentorship programs.

In fact, this is not a mentorship program; they are mentorship SESSIONS.

Traditional mentorship =

fixed curriculum/content +

commitment for 3 months, 6 months, a year... +

periodic meetings while you work through exercises and materials.

Our mentorship sessions =

customized one-on-one conversations +

no commitment +

we meet when you need to talk

Think of me as your on-call photo coach.

Sessions are typically one hour long (we cover a lot of ground!), and

each session is completely different.

Let me repeat that:

Each session is completely different.

Sometimes it's a lot of editing.

Other times we're looking at your website and online presence together to review branding.

Other times it could be a candid conversation around quoting or finding clients.

We only talk about what you need to talk about.

No fluff.

No generic curriculum.

Ready for some one-on-one time?

$150/hour (I recommend one hour at a time)

RESCHEDULED!

This photo is pretty much what my day was like last Thursday, right around the time that we were supposed to have our FIRST EVER Quarterly Peer Photo Critique.

On my way home from LA, I ran into near-stopped traffic due to a major highway accident... on a section of highway that had absolutely no side roads.

So we have a new date for our photo critique!

Join me and your fellow Grove members for our

Quarterly Peer Photo Critique on

Thursday, July 18th at 4pm Pacific/7pm Eastern!

The zoom link can be found in the event details in our Facebook group.
