Where do the aches and pains hit ya after a long shoot wraps up?
Is it your feet that are super sore? Is it your lower back that's tight and achy? Is it your knees from all the squatting and standing? Is it your arms from carrying things around a large property or up and down stairs?
When I first got into shooting interiors, I loved that it's a much slower paced photography than other genres.
In fact, my horribly aching wrists were the reason I had to officially stop doing event coverage years ago! (although it was super fun)
Even with the slow pace of interiors and architecture, though, we're still standing for many, many hours on our feet. We're carrying loads of gear in and out of a property, setting things up and moving from one space to another all day long. We're contorting our bodies into awkward positions in tight corners so we can get the shot we need. And oh yes, we spend hooouuuuuurs in front of a computer editing photos until they look perfect.
In other words, it's still a workout!
So let's talk about... SELF-CARE 🇬🇵
