Subject: Just getting started? Let's go back to basics.

Exposure triangle overview + Legal webinar next week!

#atthegrove

Sometimes we need refreshers on the basics, so from time to time we'll have Field Notes that do just that - cover photography basics for those who are just starting out or who need a few reminders.

When it comes to photography, it's hard to get more basic than the Exposure Triangle.

The Exposure Triangle is simple a triangular graphic that shows the relationship between ISO, shutter speed, and f-stop. This is what helps us know what to adjust in order to allow more light in, control depth of field, control motion blur, and control grain.

Simply put, it's a balancing act between the three settings so that we can achieve what we want to achieve in the way we want to achieve it.

If you're wanting a refresher on the exposure triangle, click on through to our latest Field Note!

Want to be featured or know a female photographer that should be?

We want to hear from you!

Or email us to let us know who you want to nominate.

It's that simple!

See you in one week!

Whether it's someone using our image on social media, on their website, or in print - we've all had moments of finding our work used without permission.

Bring your questions and concerns to our webinar, when we sit down with David Deal to talk through all things copyright!

After a 20-year career as a successful photographer, David turned his sights to working solely on copyright infringement cases on behalf of photographers. He's worked in most Federal jurisdictions to defend clients, and worked extensively to defend the work of Vivian Maier - a case which resulted in the creation of the Estate of Vivian Maier by the Cook County (IL) Probate Court.

Join me and David on Tuesday, February 13th for an open Q&A discussion about all things copyright! It's a great time to learn about the ins and outs of copyright protection, what rights we as photographers have and can uphold, and what courses of action we can take when an infringement happens. This chat is also the perfect opportunity to come with any questions you have about any situations you have happening in your business.

Join us with your questions or just to listen in and learn!

Can't join us live? No problem!
