Photographers Around the World: How We Work

Across countries and cultures, there are some things that unite us. Our latest contributor Field Note comes from Doris Trejo of Topofilia Studio, based in El Salvador but serving all of Central America. Doris took surveyed the women in the FB Community and found lots of common ground!

Check out the full Field Note.

Besides sharing her findings from the surveys, Doris also shares her thoughts about the power of virtual connections for an international community of photographers.

Huge thank you to Doris for taking a look at the big picture and finding such wonderful connections across borders!

PRO TIP:

This week's pro tip is actually something I recently learned from a community member (thanks Melissa!) and have implemented into my own workflow.

When you're saving your final photos for a client, add your Instagram handle to the file name! It'll be a subtle and easy reminder to your client to tag you, and your name will be on the file name as a reminder of who created (and owns) the photos.

Example:

Instead of - 123MainSt.jpg

Save it as - 123MainSt-@myphotoaccount.jpg

That's all for this week! I'll see you in your inbox next Tuesday.

Stay safe and be kind,

xo
