Once upon a time...

... young Natalia was fresh to the world of professional photography, and spent countless hours drooling over photos in Arch Digest.

They all seemed to be taken by a photographer named Douglas Friedman.

Oh boy, Douglas could photograph a room like no one she had seen before!

Fast forward to a few months ago.

I'm sitting on my couch, emailing with Douglas, and he agrees to speak at a virtual event that was still taking shape.

Eeeeeek!

These days, I'm familiar with the work of a long list of incredibly talented interior photographers.
