My client was dead set on this shot. It's a beautiful eating nook, but the lighting was soooo not ideal! So, I took it one shot at a time.

First, I start with the shot you see above, which has a bounced flash from camera left. It helps to fill the shadows, but is too harsh on the furniture and too strong on the floor. Then began the work to create something that felt naturally lit in all the right places.
