A dive into who makes up the landscape of female architectural/interior photographers

#atthegrove

One shot is rarely enough

It's easy to think that you can capture a space in one frame, but the reality is that it usually takes several frames to really get what you want. Whether you're working with limited gear, less-than-ideal lighting, or have a wide range of lighting conditions to compensate for.... you're most likely going to have to take several shots and blend them together.

If you're not super familiar with how to do this, our weekly #photobreakdowns are a perfect intro to just that! This is where we take a photo from Natalia's archive of work, show the layers that went into the final image and notes on what each layer is intended for. Then there's a short video that shows the masked layers in Photoshop so you can see how they blend together to create a finish, polished photo for the client.

Did you know?

All of our past #photobreakdowns are on YouTube and in our Blog! You can see them anytime on a larger screen, watch and rewatch the video with pause, rewind, and fast forward capabilities.

Here are a few of our recent #photobreakdowns, each looking at a different challenge to solve (click on the images to go directly to that blog post):

Retreat update! We've added a tentative itinerary to our retreat page. This helps to paint the picture of what to expect each day to bring you.

Even though the itinerary is exciting enough, there are actually a few bits not shown on there! For example:

  • Miranda Hayek will be doing a bonus 15-minute session with each attendee to help you in whatever branding or video related topic you need help. Priceless!!

  • Amy Bartlam (time permitting) will be helping to lead a group photo critique so you can get personalized feedback from a seasoned pro!

  • There's something in the works to make one of our group dinners extra special! This will have to remain my little secret, though. It'll be memorable, though!

I love adding in bonuses and surprises, so you can be sure that there's more to come. To stay in the loop on all details for the retreat, sign up for our interest list. You'll be the first to know of any new additions!

Ready to join us? Check out all the details and register today at the button below. A few spots remain, so scoop one up for yourself now!
