Life's Greatest Adventure! January 20th 2016 Hi Friend, This week I thought it would be interesting to take a look at the Sabian Symbols and what they might mean for our Soul Path. Since there are 360 Sabian Symbols (one for each degree of a 360º horoscope) we won't have space here to cover them all, so the best way to do this is for you to find the Sabian Symbol that relates to your Soul Path, then contemplate it, and see what meaning (if any) arises for you. Sound fun? Let's go for it! The Sabian Symbols were created in the 1920's when a prominent astrologer (Marc Edmund Jones) invited a prominent clairvoyant (Elsie Wheeler) to tune in and create a symbol for each degree of the Zodiac. Symbology is a fascinating topic. It works at the subconscious level. So by contemplating words and images that may not mean anything to our thinking brain, deeper answers, insight and guidance can arise through our subconscious mind. By contemplating the Sabian Symbol for your Rising Sign (your Soul Sign) you might gain deeper insights into your life experiences and your Soul's journey. Start by looking at your natal chart and finding the sign and degree of your Rising Sign (Ascendant, AC or ASc). Next hop over to Cafe Astrology and look up the Sabian Symbol for that sign and degree. Make a note of it and then set aside some time for deeper contemplation. Contemplate this as often as you can because deeper insights may come each time. When you get to Cafe Astrology you'll notice the symbols listed fall between degrees. So for example if your Rising Sign is 12º 58' Cancer you would see two possibilities: 11-12º Cancer or 12-13º Cancer. In our example you would choose the Sabian Symbol for 12-13º Cancer because your Rising Sign is AFTER 12º and BEFORE 13º Have fun with this, and let me know if you have any deep insights that relate to your Soul's journey!
