While a sextile is only considered a minor aspect, the fact that Pluto is involved in this momentous time of change is highly significant - because of Pluto's role as the Soul ruler of Pisces - and because we're currently having a planetary party in Pisces - the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Neptune and Chiron are now all in Pisces soon to be followed by Venus on March 12th.
Pluto is a planet of major transformation. He is associated with death and re-birth. The power of destruction and re-generation. Astrologer Melanie Reinhart gives a higher vibrational keyword for Pluto as "emptiness". In many Buddhist traditions the highest wisdom is considered to be the wisdom realizing emptiness, which reminds us that everything is one ongoing dance of interrelated energy, that nothing is permanent, and that nothing exists independently from everything else.
Since Pisces is the sign of the ocean, and oceanic consciousness, Pluto's role as the Soul Ruler of Pisces reminds us that the only thing in the whole of existence that is truly indestructible, is consciousness itself.
So it is interesting to contemplate Pluto's role in the current planetary configuration... in helping to create the conditions that will catapult us into a higher experience of Pisces and the awakening of the Sacred Heart of humanity.
