This week is the New Moon in Leo. The New Moon is a time of seeding: planting 'ideas' - it is an ideal time for new beginnings, and especially focusing on what we want to create in the world in the coming weeks. Leo is the sign of creativity, self-expression and Self-realization, so this coming moon cycle is all about YOU!
For avid self-explorers it is one of the best moon-cycles of the year for becoming clearer on your self-awareness, and going deeper into your self-exploration, provided you remain alert. The particular focus of your journey this month will be indicated by whatever house in your chart the New Moon takes place.
The Leo New Moon through the houses
The New Moon takes place at 14º of Leo, so look at your chart to see in which house 14º of Leo falls. Remember as 'self-explorers' we're more concerned with the inner meaning, so let's take a look at the New Moon through the houses, to see 'what could be up' for you this month:
1st house
Your very sense of self, your core identity, is up for review. Are you identifying with externally imposed labels or ideals? It is time to meditate on your core essence, your spirit, and anchor your identity there.
2nd house
Meditate on your sense of self-worth. How do you value yourself? Do you wait for appreciation to come from outside, or can you go deeper? It is time to discover for yourself what is inherently of value within you.
3rd house
Meditate deeply on your self-expression. How are you thinking and talking about yourself? Are you speaking your truth in the world?
4th house
Meditate on your foundation. Where are you (or can you begin) putting down roots that will serve as a solid foundation for your spiritual path?
5th house
Create! Create! Create! The New Moon in Leo's own house is urging you to manifest your highest spiritual ideals into reality.
6th house
Meditate deeply on the distinction between service and servitude. Where can you be of higher service in the world?
7th house
Meditate on the nature of relating and right relationship. This doesn't just mean human relations but on our relationship with Mother Earth and all her creatures.
8th house
Meditate on personal transformation, healing and regeneration. What do you need to let go of in your life, in order to heal and transform?
9th house
Meditate on higher wisdom. Notice where you are seeking higher knowledge, and align yourself only with wisdom teachings that are pure and free from dogma.
10th house
Meditate on the nature of spiritual aspiration and ask yourself what the highest goal would be for your spiritual journey.
11th house
Meditate deeply on the nature of group consciousness, and your role within the brotherhood/sisterhood of humanity.
12th house
Meditate deeply on Universal Love, keeping your attention on your heart center: allowing awareness of the connectedness of humanity, to grow within you.
Remember Soul Astrology is about our inner path so rather than focusing on external events the key is to always notice our own inner thoughts, reactions and responses. The time between now and the Full Moon on August 20th/21st is most important for planting the seeds of your creative self-expression.
