Yesterday the Sun moved into Pisces marking the beginning of Pisces Season. You know, astrology is really only the language of energy, and energetic relationships. So even if you have no interest or know very little about astrology you can still feel a subtle change in the air if you are alert and pay attention to the subtle shifts in energy. This year I have been attending a webinar series by master Soul Astrologer Alan Oken.
As I listen to him teach, once again I am struck by his brilliant use of language and his ability to make clear distinctions between subtle energy dynamics. This is an important key in our journey of self-discovery: to be able to observe ourselves and be clear enough to make distinctions between subtle shifts in energy and energetic dynamics.
On the subject of making distinctions it occurred to me to make a clear distinction between our Soul Astrology Group which begins in March and a webinar (for those of you who may be considering it). In a webinar there are usually many people. (I've never been on a webinar of less than 50 people). You sit at your computer, watch and listen to the main speaker give a presentation, maybe with slides but not always, and there is usually time for two or three questions related to the topic but certainly no time to explore personal issues in depth. The speaker may not even know you are on the webinar.
The new Soul Astrology Group which begins in March is very different. The group will take part on a teleconferencing line (which means over the telephone - no computer needed) and you can participate from anywhere in the world. Yes I will be teaching theory, presenting the subject matter and referencing many books and resources for suggested reading. We will be learning about the higher and lower octaves of the signs and planets, and making distinctions between the mundane and soul-based meanings of each. In that regard it is like a class.
This is a small intimate group, of up to 12 people and just like in a workshop, you get personal attention, can ask as many questions as you like, and get a personal response. Over a 12 month period you will be your own, and each others, case studies. You will come to know each other and your horoscopes in depth, and understand all of the energy dynamics involved. While we understand the theory, we will also get to see how the dynamics play out in real people's lives. Your ability to recognize energetic relationships, synthesize a chart, and make clear distinctions will grow exponentially and become fine-tuned.
There will also be professional coaching to support you in effecting any desired change, and overcoming any obstacles to your personal growth. So while the focus is very much on learning soul astrology, it is primarily from the perspective of how it can be used as a tool for your own growth and development.
