This week we have the Full Moon in Pisces on Thursday (12:12pm UK/London; 7:12am USA/NY; 9:10pm AUS/Canberra). If you've been following my Facebook page you'll know I often say that the Full Moon is the balance-point of the Sign in Season, so Pisces is the balance point of Virgo Season. What do I mean by this?
First realize that, unlike last week's newsletter where we spoke in very practical terms about the sign of Virgo, this week we are talking from a spiritual perspective. Generally, astrology is a language of energy so when we use astrology to describe any person, place or event we are speaking of the particular energies expressed. Then when we come to Esoteric or Soul Astrology we are speaking specifically about qualities and activities of energy as light and the process through which light manifests as our physical reality.
From the perspective of light, Esoteric Astrology tells us that there are really only six signs and they are expressed, perceived or experienced as twelve, because of the dualistic nature of the human mind. So where, for practical purposes, we might speak of Virgo and Pisces as two separate signs, from the level of light and soul there is just one spectrum of Virgo-Pisces light.
Virgo is a sign of love in action and Pisces is a sign of the sacred heart, so we are speaking of a spectrum of light that ranges from physical, tangible love in Virgo to the experience of the Sacred Heart. The Sacred Heart is not something transcendent and unreachable - if it were it couldn't possibly be on the same spectrum as Virgo which is very much down-to-earth and grounded. So there is a clue to resolving the Virgo-Pisces polarity.
It is important to realize too, that when we speak of the spiritual heart, we are not talking about your physical heart that is beating in your chest, although they are closely connected. The spiritual heart is an energetic field, at the level of your heart chakra, which connects your physical heart and energy to your Soul, and the Divine. It is a kind of portal or gateway to the Divine. As part of our journey of spiritual awakening we become aware of this heart-energy and begin living a more heart-centered life.
Astrology is the study of cycles of time and, as the last sign of the Zodiac, Pisces always indicates the culmination of a cycle. When we speak of the 'Sacred Heart' in Pisces we are speaking of a tipping point in the evolution of human consciousness whereby the majority of us are spiritually awake and living from the heart. This realization unites humanity at the level of the heart as we realize the truth that, at the level of our soul-light, all hearts really do beat as one.
When we are aware of our own sacred heart energy and, carrying forward awareness of our deep connection at soul level, we flow love practically into the world, then we have balanced the Virgo-Pisces polarity and completed an important cycle in the development of human consciousness.
This is why the Full Moon in Pisces is the balance-point for Virgo Season. It is an optimum time when the Sacred Heart energy of Pisces is perfectly poised with the pure Divine Love of Virgo and we have access to both. They may appear to be at opposite points in the Zodiac yet where they unite is within the human heart. It is an ideal time to meditate on our heart chakra and, with pure awareness and discernment, realize the truth of our oneness with the whole of humanity through our deepest heart connection.
