Today is the first day of spring in the northern hemisphere. It is Spring Equinox: one of the points in the year when day and night are of equal length (In the southern hemisphere day and night are still of equal length today, marking the beginning of autumn). It is also the day when the Sun moves into Aries, marking the beginning of another Zodiac year. Happy New Year!
This is a great time for new beginnings. Personally I feel more alive at this time of year, as the vital life force energy returns to nature, than I do at the conventional New Year on January 1st. I'm usually still in hibernation then! Now is a great time to begin a journal to note the differences in your energy field as the Sun moves from sign to sign, throughout this next year.
Astrologically the Sun represents our vitality, and we all experience seasonal changes differently depending upon where the Sun was at the time of our birth (our Sun sign). With the Sun now in Aries this is often a time of great inspiration as our vital life force energy is collectively infused with spirit.
