Episode 143: Lynwood Owens, Jr. - How to build a global IT to be acquired

In this week’s episode, we have Mr. Lynwood Owens, Jr. the sole executive President/CEO of LBO Technology, LLC. LBO Technology is an emerging SBA Certified HUBZone and 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Small Business operating on 11 contracts, 9 as a prime contractor. LBO Technology supports US Navy, DISA, WHS, DIA, ODNI, HHS, EPA, and DOI as a prime contractor.

Mr. Owens provides oversight and direction to the Business Development on a variety of growth activities to include proposal development, capture management, client relations and operations, identify opportunities, develop a capture strategy, and provide tactical business solutions. He serves as the company advocate for all quality initiatives. Mr. Owens is passionate and has a commitment for continual development and quality certifications such as ISO, CMMI and CMMC process improvement models.


Lynwood said, if he would give any advice to small business owners, he would tell them that you need to make two investments... business development, and proposal development. In this podcast he shares the secret sauce on how to find these people to add to your team!

Principal Investigator: Krista Casazza PhD, Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) 


In partnership with a cross-sector international interdisciplinary team the (T2M) Tampa2Miami Medical Innovator led MedTech Corridor Innovation Engine aims to accelerate the pace of innovation and translation in emerging technologies, addressal of the pivotal education challenges of our time, and engagement and embodiment the diverse talent that exists in the region.


The proposed crosscutting platform will collaboratively integrate existing partnerships and establish new networks to leverage, energize and rapidly bring use-inspired research and innovation to the region through transformative breakthroughs in overall cadaveric and anatomical education, tools and opportunities. Aligning the engine focus area in fostering innovative technology-driven research and development ecosystems that have the potential to transform science and engineering exploration. Clustering activities will afford a myriad of benefits, with expanded research and development strategies and an increased innovation platform.


Our strategic plan encompasses a multi-component engine design to drive towards sustainable infrastructure via

1) innovation and commercialization of use-informed research;

2) education and training; and

3) emergent technologies including Distributed Ledger Technology and Artificial Intelligence. to construct and standardize outcomes within the T2M MedTech corridor.
