3 Keys to Building a Team

Your vision without a team is just a dream. You can build alone, but if you want to build better, do it together. Often as leaders, we wait for the “right people” to move forward. But the truth is, if you’re waiting for “perfect” people, you’ll be waiting forever. Just like a good house, building a good leader takes time. You have the choice — resent the time or relish it. Be committed to the process of developing people.

I. Speak to People’s Potential
Your job is to speak to who people can become. Is your voice an addition or a subtraction?

II. Spend Time With Them
There’s no fast track to building people. You have to be committed to the process.

III. Stay Consistent
Nobody likes hot and cold. Be consistent with encouragement.
