Subject: Do you believe in luck?

Is it me, or have people forgotten how a bit of luck can be THE game changer they’ve been waiting for?

Paul Piff, the psychologist who conducted the experiments at the University of California Irvine, described this human behavior as “when something good happens to you, we think about the things that we did that contributed to that success.”

We attribute very little - if any - of our success to good ol’ luck.

This gets tricky when you’re shopping around for a course or program to advance your knowledge or career. The coach’s offer promises to outline the exact steps they took so that you can replicate their formula in your own life.

Their landing pages, social media campaigns, even their YouTube videos will take you through their journeys and how they overcame—eventually achieving the success that you want for yourself.

So you buy into their hype, ready to go after your dreams, with “proven steps” in hand.

But for some reason, your results don’t match up with the promises that you too can implement these exact methods and achieve success for your business.

Did you miss a step? You go over the modules, notes, worksheets and find that you’ve done it all.

So what’s missing?

I’ve got a four-letter word answer for you.

Could be luck.

Sometimes we don’t even realize the role good fortune plays in our accomplishments—that chance meeting, the perfect timing, or whatever it may be. Or maybe we’re ashamed to mention it because it might take away from the success we’ve worked hard for.

However, does that mean if you don't experience luck… you're doomed to fail?

Maybe. But we all get a stroke of luck every now and then. What matters is whether you're going to take advantage of it.

It’s hard to deny that a bit of serendipity or fortune can make or break the trajectory of our future. I mean, think about it. If we all followed the same winning model, wouldn’t we all be wealthy and successful?

Know this.

Luck didn’t strike for many entrepreneurs while sitting idly at home waiting for something to fall in their laps.

They were out there, hustling and working to turn their dreams into reality when a lucky break gave their efforts the muscle they needed towards their winning future.

So, put in the work and create opportunities for luck to find you.

To Your Success,
Paul Hanson
