With the rise of A.I. in every conceivable field, I found myself captivated by its potential—not just for my work in marketing, but also for something deeply personal: my old, nearly forgotten lyrics. You see, decades ago, I was passionate about songwriting. I poured my heart into lyrics, but life, as it often does, had other plans. Writing lyrics didn’t pay the bills, so I had to shelve that dream.

After graduating college in Minneapolis, where I also worked for a while, I felt a spark of inspiration. My songs had been published locally, and one of the popular bands even recorded two of them! This gave me the courage to chase my dreams further. When one of the band members decided to move to California, I thought, "Why not me too?" Being an avid cyclist, a friend and I decided to embark on an epic journey: biking from Minneapolis to California. With stars in our eyes, we pedaled 800 miles in just eight days, reaching the Rocky Mountains before our bicycle adventure ended. We scraped together enough money to buy a used car in Colorado, which carried us the rest of the way to Los Angeles.

Long story short, we didn’t make the hit parade. Reality set in; I needed a job to pay the rent and put food on the table. The dream of becoming a renowned lyricist slowly dimmed. Then, life took a beautiful turn—I met my wife, and my priorities shifted. Though I occasionally dabbled in writing, I stopped actively seeking collaboration.

Fast forward to this year, and something magical happened. I discovered the power of A.I. to breathe new life into my old lyrics. It’s been nothing short of a miracle, reviving my dream of hearing my words set to music. Whether or not any of my songs get picked up by a recording artist isn’t the main goal anymore. I’ve decided to compile a collection of my favorites, part diary and part musical journey, reflecting my experiences and impressions over the years.

I’ve even asked family members to judge some of the mixes I’ve created with A.I., and their responses have been encouraging. Now, I’m reaching out to you. Would you like to be a judge for some of my mixes? If so, just respond to this email, and I might send a song or two your way for your input.
