GIRA HIGHLIGHTS

GIS Board member and leader Tim Carey's article in the latest edition of the Global Implementation Research and Applications journal inspired our bulletin's theme:

Solving the Puzzle of Global Health Inequity: Completing the Picture Piece by Piece by Piece

"Instead of arranging research according to methodologies or topic areas, IGHER’s research is organized according to five foundational research questions... Each of the foundational research questions focuses on a different but interrelated fundamental component of global health inequities. The foundational research questions are intentionally broad. From these foundational questions, more specific questions pertaining to discrete research projects can be developed."

It's a tremendous undertaking when knowledge translation, in a global context, also requires the work of painstaking lingual translation, so we also want to highlight the outstanding work of Christina Kien, Ursula Griebler, Marie-Therese Schultes, Kylie J. Thaler and Tanja Stamm:

Psychometric Testing of the German Versions of Three Implementation Outcome Measures

"Internationally comparable assessments of implementation outcomes are a prerequisite for the accurate and useful exchange of implementation science results. We translated the English versions of the acceptability of intervention measure (AIM), the intervention appropriateness measure (IAM), and the feasibility of intervention measure (FIM) into German following recent guidelines."

Global Implementation Research and Applications (GIRA) invites manuscript submissions from diverse disciplines, regions, sectors, and settings.

Can lessons from implementing social policy or community development projects inform program implementation in behavioral or public health? How about in educational or justice reform efforts?

We think so! GIRA invites your manuscripts!
