GIS Committee Notes

Membership Committee

The GIS membership committee invites members to join them in leading the scaling up of efforts to engage and communicate with GIS members and grow membership on a global scale. With greater staff support, more is possible—so, we want your leadership and input! Feel free to simply share your ideas, or if you're interested in participating on a regular, monthly basis with the membership committee, simply reply to this email indicating your interest—we'll follow up shortly!

Competencies & Standards

The competencies & standards committee is developing the second edition of the competencies for implementation facilitators and seeks to include a wide range of perspectives and voices in open discussion and comment. If you're interested in having your voice heard on competencies that will shape learning and possible certification in the field of implementation, reply to this email and indicate your interest—we'll ensure you're invited to upcoming discussions.

GIRA Journal Committee

The editorial board of GIS's Global Implementation Research and Applications journal plans to develop new resources to promote equity and inclusivity and train new peer review leaders, but individuals willing to dedicate time to communicate regularly and responsively are always invited to join GIRA as reviewers and help to further the field of Implementation Science. Reply indicating your interest!

Professional Learning Committee

The GIS Professional Learning Committee is developing a strategic plan to align committee objectives and transform the traditional webinar experience into a comprehensive implementation science learning experience promoting opportunity, inclusion and equity for a global audience. This is a collaborative process, and we invite your ideas on new learning opportunities, channels and strategies to promote global equity in learning and developing skills in implementation science. Share your ideas by replying to this email!

Shape our Future Bulletins!

As we work to improve member communications, we welcome your feedback on this new first edition of the regular, at least Monthly bulletin to GIS members—the following link offers the opportunity to leave feedback and shape future editions of the bulletin as we pilot new ideas, formats and concepts. We want to make sure this is an email you're excited to receive in your inbox (a lofty goal!)
