Nominations are sought for two positions on the GIS Board of Directors.

GIS aims to maintain a balance of board members that reflect the global diversity, demographics, and implementation focus of the GIS membership. Therefore, one board position is reserved for a member from the Global South and one from either the Global South or Global North.

Responsibilities

• The term of service is June 1, 2023 through May 31, 2026.  

• Attend monthly virtual meetings

• Serve as a liaison to one of the working committees of the GIS
