Subject: Friend, make your impact on implementation

Ignite Scientific Progress

Dear Friend,

Are you passionate about implementation and looking for an opportunity to make a lasting impact? The Global Implementation Society is currently seeking dedicated individuals like you to join us as Associate Editors for our flagship scientific journal, Global Implementation Research and Applications.

As an Associate Editor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of implementation science and practice. You will have the chance to review groundbreaking research papers, collaborate with like-minded professional peers, and contribute to the advancement of your field.

No prior editorial experience is required. We value diverse perspectives and encourage individuals from all professional/personal backgrounds to apply. Your passion for implementation and dedication to academic rigor are what matter most.

There are some requirements of Associate Editors, but they are relatively low-burden. They include:

  • Attendance at one GIRA Editorial Team meeting monthly (currently scheduled for the 3rd Monday of the month at 3:00 pm EST/UTC-5)

  • Reading, editing, and commenting on original manuscripts from the field of implementation practice and science

  • Helping to reach out to volunteer reviewers

  • Collaborative development of special issues for GIRA, which take a deeper dive into topics of interest

Associate Editors also receive support for all of the above responsibilities from their co-editors, and GIS staff.

We hope that you won't miss this opportunity to be a part of something great for implementation. Joining GIRA as an Associate Editor, you become a catalyst for scientific discovery. Together, we can create a better future.

Thank you for considering this opportunity,

P.P.S. Sorry if you are receiving this email for a second time! There was a crucial typo in the email. AE responsibilities are low-burden. The original email indicated otherwise.

Thank you again!
