Subject: Friend, Join us for the GIS/WISPR Webinar Series: Data in Implementation

The Global Implementation Society (GIS) is partnering with the Western Implementation Society for Practice & Research (WISPR) to present a webinar series designed to highlight innovative approaches to bridging the research to practice gap.   GIS and WISPR share the goal of ensuring that learning throughout the series is applicable across interdisciplinary contexts.

This series will advance practitioners' knowledge and effective use of data within implementation science, research, and practice. The 5-part webinar series will explore the use of implementation and improvement science frameworks in addition to sharing research and real world examples of the use of implementation science.

The series begins on Monday, 20 March and occurs every other week thereafter.
All sessions start at 9:00 am (PDT)/12:00 pm (EDT)/4:00 pm (UTC).

Everyone is invited to join for the whole series or just the ones you can attend -- the choice (and options) are available for all!

In an effort to facilitate the incorporation of diverse viewpoints, experiences, and backgrounds, participants are encouraged to take part in this series regardless of their prior exposure and experience to implementation efforts. GIS and WISPR share the goal of ensuring that learning throughout the series is applicable across interdisciplinary contexts.

Session 1 - Intro to GIS/WISPR Series - March 20th

Jenice Pizzuto, M.A. &

Kathleen Ryan Jackson, EdD

Learn all about how data informs implementation. The workshop on 20 March 2023 will serve as an introduction to the series, offering a broad overview of the content and interactivity which will take place in subsequent sessions.

Session 2 - Data in Training - April 3rd

Lillian Groff , EdD

This workshop will focus on the use and application of data in the training system. How do you utilize data to correlate knowledge acquisition and demonstrated gains when training on new innovations. In addition, attendees will explore how to use improvement cycles based on information and data collected through the training process.

Session 3 - Data in Coaching - April 17th

Teresa Schantin, M.Ed., &

Kathleen Ryan Jackson, EdD

How is data used to determine the effectiveness of coaching and how do we use that data to inform and improve training on usable innovations? This session will focus on what data is best used to improve the effectiveness of your coaching and the use and application of data in the coaching system.

Session 4 - Data in Fidelity - May 1st

Sondra M. Stegenga Ph.D., MS, OTR/L

Measuring fidelity in research is essential to monitoring the effectiveness of the implementation of your useable innovation.  What observational data is best utilized to determine fidelity?  This session will focus on the use and application of data in understanding and recognizing fidelity.

Session 5 - DSDS Cycle - May 15th

Kathleen Ryan Jackson, EdD &

Jenice Pizzuto, M.A.

This workshop will focus on pulling all the data components together in a decision support data system (DSDS). Decision Support Data System (DSDS Cycle) allows you to determine the best system to use to track data over time.  Identifying, collecting, and analyzing data that are useful to assuring successful implementation – are all best facilitated by identifying the ideal DSCS cycle.

Don't miss out on this exciting learning opportunity!
