| | Hi Friend, After months/years of planning I'm excited that this trip is now a guaranteed departure. Although we only have a small group our "Wild Alaska and Yukon" tour will depart 7th August, 2023 and there is only 1 place left so act quickly to secure this spot.
This tour was scheduled to depart originally in 2021 and was stalled by 'you know what'. I am delighted to finally be able to offer it once again. THIS TOUR IS NOW A GUARANTEED DEPARTURE.
Join me, Judy and our Girls On Tour small group, women-only tour for this 24 day adventure which will take you through some of the most remote areas of Southeast Alaska by sea before heading North on land to explore the history of the Goldrush and Yukon Territory.
This unique tour by sea on board National Geographic ‘Venture’ we will explore Alaska’s coastal wilderness. Each day you will explore Alaska's narrow fjords, glaciers and local communities by Zodiac, kayaking and on short walks. The ships onboard expedition equipment takes the experience to a whole new level and budding photographers can borrow the very best camera equipment from on the onboard BH Photo store. (Free of charge)
Our expedition cruise will start in Sitka and finish in Juneau. During our time on board we will explore Tongass National Forest in the wild and remote areas of Southeast Alaska, Icy Strait and the Inian Islands, Glacier Bay, Frederick Sound, Chatham Strait, Petersburg and Tracy Arm Fjords and glaciers before arriving in Juneau where we’ll enjoy 2 nights.
Our land tour will start in Whitehorse with a 3 night stay and finish in Anchorage with other stays in Sitka, Talkeetna, Denali National Park, Fairbanks, Tok and Dawson City and will include an amazing rail journey from Denali National Park to Fairbanks on the glass-domed Denali Star Railway as well as enjoy a ride on the famous narrow gauge White Pass and Yukon Route Railway. We will travel through the Yukon region by private mini-bus and rail exploring old goldrush towns placing ourselves in the Yukon region at the best time for Aurora Borealis sightings.
