Hi Friend and welcome to our Autumn 2021 edition of "Secret Women's Business". I can't wait to finally hit the road once again when we depart from Brisbane on 1st May on our first GOT "Way Out West" tour, our first Girls On Tour trip since the onset of 'you know what'!!
We will be travelling by private 38 seater coach from Brisbane to Brisbane going out as far north-west as Winton and as far south-west as Eromanga with lots and lots in between. Please follow us on Facebook on our 17 day adventure as I report daily on our activities and antics.
I visited many of the places we'll see on this tour as a child with my family but it will be wonderful to see them again with grown up eyes and appreciate the part they play in our history.
Our first trip is sold out but there are still places available on the second tour departing 5th July.
So very excited that New Zealand is back on the table and our March 2022 tour is all systems go.
Also excited to announce something new that's in the planning stages and that is an Antarctica Day Flight onboard the Qantas Dreamliner. See below for more details and to register your interest.
Thanks for your ongoing support. Stay safe and keep your travel dreams alive. “My favorite thing to do is go where I’ve never been”. - Anonymous ”
Happy travels, Judy. |

| Coming to Brisbane - Van Gogh Alive You may not be able to travel to Carrières de Lumières in Les Baux-De-Provence in France, but you can see this multi-sensory experience in Brisbane and around Australia in 2021.
Some of my past travellers have seen it in Sydney and loved it and I have been fortunate enough to see a display from The Masters in France in the quarry as seen in this image above and it was mesmerising. https://www.mustdobrisbane.com/van-gogh-alive-brisbane?fbclid=IwAR3gFgnnFLzqCkY4QC_mPBddlfv5-Pop740BhmgdkzX5N5g4VgPEYeO2qJk

| | The Pharaohs' Golden Parade Egyptians and the world recently witnessed an historic procession of 22 mummies - 18 kings and four queens transported from the peach-coloured, neo-classical Egyptian Museum in Cairo to their new resting place 5km away at the new National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation. This brings Egypt one step closer to opening the new facility to the world. It certainly was a spectacular event and one that Egypt hopes will bring tourism once more back to their country. I for one can't wait to return to Egypt.

| | Good news for Venice:After more than 10 years of cruise ships plowing through Venice’s historic Giudecca Canal, they’ve been permanently banned.
Italian Cultural Minister Dario Franceschini announced the news on Wednesday, stating it was in response to a request from UNESCO, and described it as “a correct decision, awaited for years.” They will now have to dock at the industrial port until a new solution can be found.

| | Health Check: Check yourself or get checked. While most breast cancers occur in women over the age of 50, more and more young women 40 and under are being diagnosed.
Women in their 40s and 75 years and over are also eligible to have a breast screen with BreastScreen Queensland, if they choose, but are not actively encouraged to screen. This is because the evidence of benefits is less clear in these age groups. It is recommended that women in their 40s and 75 years and over talk to their doctor about whether breast screening is right for them. Don't let it go unchecked.
