Being the type of coach or expert that is open to opportunity is a fantastic ATTITUDE to have especially when the like of a pandemic comes out of nowhere like Covid-19.
Like me, Iโm sure you have witnessed a huge surge in start up companies or businesses that have PIVOTED their goods or services in the past couple of years.
FAST MOVERS took advantage of the pandemic and new industries have even emerged.
Having an open-mindedness has prompted so many business owners to create INNOVATIVE ways to digitise their services as millions of people scrambled to keep their businesses afloat and were forced to move their communication online.
For example, platforms like ZOOM have grown hugely in the last couple of years and what a great tool to connect with your prospects and clients.
Zoom was one of the FASTEST GROWING apps of the pandemic, with meeting participants increasing by 2900%. Not just businesses, but personal users also wanting to connect with friends and family plus teachers and students etc
Staying in control and FOCUSED on your current business is a balancing act between new opportunities and collaborations that might come your way.
Obviously, you need to STAY MINDFUL and not say YES to everything otherwise youโll end up with challenges trying to multi-task everything.
However, donโt stay closed off either to great opportunities that could fit in beautifully with your current VENTURE.
If you already have an existing coaching/expert business, then youโll know when you started that business you looked for an opportunity where certain PAIN POINTS existed in a niche market that you knew you could offer a solution to.
You would have created a set of products or services to serve that NICHE market.
Staying OPEN, is to widen your net and to recognise other markets of people that you could offer your products or services too as you grow and scale.
You could also consider ways to make your products more affordable to the masses like creating an ONLINE COURSE to reach more people.
Another option is to RAISE YOUR PRICES to a premium level where you might serve less people but deliver a 1-on-1 experience with higher or quicker results. This option creates revenue more quickly so you can grow faster.
You want to constantly scour new opportunities or IDEAS that can benefit more people.

Building a THRIVING coaching/expert business is not just about financial gain for yourself but finding a need in the market and putting yourself โout thereโ to serve.
COLLABORATING with other coaches/experts or business owners will also open opportunity for growth by having the ability to cross-promote, grow audiences and using referral marketing.
Like I mentioned earlier, PRIORITISING opportunities is also imperative as saying YES to too many, can add distraction, lack of focus and clarity and a way to lose money.
What we call in the online worldโฆ.. โSHINY OBJECT SYNDROMEโ
If you can master the skill of focus it will help you become a better LEADER, extend your skillset, and make you more knowledgeable all together.
Although some of this said might sound counter-intuitive, always stay open to opportunity but BE SELECTIVE with your choices.
Better still, always be willing to LISTEN TO OTHERS that have succeeded in what you are trying to achieve and master the skill of learning.

Itโs only natural when FEELING STUCK or your business isnโt moving along as expected that you feel like giving up. Most coaches and experts start out with a grand vision to save and impact the world only to find the journey is much harder than they expected, especially when it comes to their marketing strategies and being seen in the marketplace.
To overcome this hurdle, break down your grand vision into small, attainable milestones eg: quarters, months, weeks and even days.
CELEBRATE each milestone even if itโs a small win.

Becoming an entrepreneur or business owner isnโt the easiest choice but itโs the choice that you picked because you had a MISSION, you have a passion and you have a message to share with the world.
This also comes back to your โWHYโ and why you started this in the first place. Donโt live with regret that you gave up on your dream.
Take some type of โACTION STEP' every day whether big or small and iterate along the way. Confidence will build over time until you become unstoppable.
Sooner or later the joy of succeeding will surpass all the challenges you faced along the way.
Also remember all the people that are counting on you to make things happen like your partner, children, parents etc. that you made promises too. Use this as motivation to spur you on.

Ask yourself each morning โWHO NEEDS TO HEAR MY MESSAGE TODAY?โ
There is usually somebody counting on you whether you are aware of them or not, especially if you post content online or social media.
Youโd be surprised how many people are quietly following your content and hanging on every word you say.
You are INFLUENCING people whether you realise it or not.
How many people in the world have started their journey whether it be business, weight loss, mindset, health, and well-being etc. because of you?

A great exercise is to write down the names of your coach, mentor and confidant (could be many) then in another column write down the names of people you know of that YOU are a coach or mentor/confidant too.
These are the people that are admiring you and DEPENDING ON YOU.
Seeing these names on paper is a great reminder and motivation to keep on going, if not for yourself but these others that are in your SPHERE OF INFLUENCE!
