-  Geomap "Update Tenements" App VS4 Now Available
 

      Hi  Friend...In a blog post in January we described how the Department of Mines are changing the download links to the Current Tenements you use in your GeoMap projects. 

 We have rewritten our One Click "Update Tenements" app for Geomap and it is now available for you to download. The Current version is version 3 (vs3) and the new Version will be Version 4 (Vs4). 

WE HAVE NOW BEEN ADVISED LINKS TO DASC ARE CHANGING  ON 17 JUNE 2022

 Many will be out there prospecting now and those that use GeoMap might find that when the links for the downloads for Tenements used in GeoMap programs change on 17 June it will cause some difficulty or worse, Outdated Tenements!! 

 So this update will fix it BUT...

...Please Note: The Download Tenements APP will NOT work for you unless you have the standard folder and files setup we teach in our Gold Prospecting Seminars, on the Geomap Training Site or at our Free training at Seminars and  APLA.


If you do not have that simplified Files and Folders setup on your PC that we teach in Geomap Training (see Chapter 8 if you have purchased the  training) this information will not be relevant to you.

What does the Download Tenements App Do?

  1. Click on the App, it will go to DMIRS website and get the download tenements zip file
  2. The App will Select and download the Tenements shapefile to your pc.
  3. It will Unzip the Tenements shapefile into the correct tenements folder on your PC "C" Drive.
  4. Then ALL your projects will be updated with the new tenement information next time they are opened.
CAVEAT - You MUST have the files and folders setup that we teach in Geomap Training, You should have this setup if you are a customer of Geomap Training WA Website.

Get The Vs4.0 Download Tenements App .exe File
The vs4.0 Download tenements File is an Exe File – click on the Image to your left or above to get the file to download to your pc.

Please view the blog post and video to understand how to get it on your PC and use it properly.

When you have the App on your PC it;

- Goes to DMP Data Centre.
-  Downloads the tenements Esri shapefile Zip File.
- Unzips those files to the correct folder on your PC eg C:/GeoMapData/Tenements

AND that is where your GeoMap Projects search for it. 
Then Tenements update automatically next time you open a project.

Note that the Download Tenements File will show Vs4.1 this it the same as the Ikon headed V 4.0
