You should at the very least have all the money in your checking account, right this very minute, to pay all your bills for next month.

So that means you should be able to either sit down today and write a check for all this month's bills and drop 'em in the mail or go online and pay them right now.

If you can't do that ...

------- YOU'RE IN SERIOUS FINANCIAL TROUBLE!

Because not being in a position to do what I just described above, means that you're just one paycheck away from being on the street.

Basically, you're bankrupt!

Because without a cushion ...

Without reserves ...

That means you must work for every dollar you have, in order to just survive day-to-day. And if you stop working because of a physical disability or you plain just got fired ...

You're at ZERO with nothing to fall back on.

That's a scary place to be in.

And I know all about it.

I was there (4) years ago.

And it wasn't fun.
