Presentation Title: Religion and Politics in the Workplace
I am excited to have W. Melvin Haas, III, or most of us know him as "Mel" Haas, Partner, Constangy, Brooks, Smith and Prophete, as our speaker for May's meeting. Mel will be presenting a program on "Religion and Politics in the Workplace." A very interesting subject with a significant impact on and in our work settings.
Mel is a long time attorney, speaker and trainer on Labor Law around the nation. He speaks regularly for the state Chamber of Commerce, the Developing Labor Law Section Midwinter meetings for the American Bar Association, The Georgia Employers' Association, the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association and SHRM Chapters among a number of other speaking engagements around the country. A 2016 Hall of Fame Inductee for "The Nation's Most Powerful Employment Attorneys" by Human Resources Executive Magazine and Vice Chairman of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Labor Relations Committee, he is a founder and current Chair of the Board of the Georgia Employers' Association. Mel's list of accomplishments and awards speak volumes to his impact on businesses throughout the nation but most importantly, Mel is a friend you want to get to know who cares about our community.
