Happy Sunday Evening! Hope you've had a lovely weekend!
They say it’s going to be a really cold and snowy winter here in the Southeast. The first third of December seems to be proving the forecast. Our first snow in North Carolina rolled in on Friday, and we still have an inch of snow on the ground.
We have delicious kale, chard, bok choy, collards, and spinach growing under heavy frost covers.
Here’s a shot of our old tomato bed covered with a mini arch of frost fabric, there’s mizuma, arugula, and lots of broccoli.

As we are about to turn the corner into a new year, the seed catalogues are arriving with all the glorious depictions of amazing flowers, fruits, and vegetables.
But before we are taken in by the Siren’s song of new varieties and cute children posing next to giant beets and snake like Zucchino, we must, must have an accounting for 2017.
