Subject: Tetsukabuto Squash… Well, Well

WELL, WELL!

This past Thursday afternoon we lost our well water during a thunderstorm. We’ve needed to change out well pumps one too many times over the past few years, and here it was again, but for a different reason.

If you’re on well water and haven’t yet lost your well pump, you may want to scan this article so you can be prepared and knowledgeable about what to do when — or even before — it happens.

TETSUKABUTO SQUASH

We’re growing this Tetsukabuto Squash because it was touted as being a hardy winter squash that’s pest and disease resistant.

So far, that’s certainly been our experience of it. We’ve started a brief article on Tetsukabuto and will be adding to it as our journey with Tetsu continues. Right now, it’s growing up and over the roof of our water stove house, producing vigorously and prolifically, and we’ve begun harvesting and curing.

Coleman created a 5:44 minute video on it for you. Pardon his dirt smudges. He likes to become one with the garden and earth, and on this particular day, he hadn’t shaved because of no water with the well out, so he’s wearing his garden, soil and all! 😃

What’s up in your garden?
