Sorry… here’s what’s up:
Happy Sunday, Fellow Plant Lover!

APOLOGIES!! We’ve been inconsistent in sending weekly updates. :-o

We’re just a small family team with tons of other work to do. Plus now it’s headlong into SPRING. YAHOO!!

But, we want to be more consistent.

Instead of a longer weekly email, we’ll be sending shorter “dailies” which we’re calling “Garden Snippets”.

As some of you may have read before, we bought the GardensAll website before we’d even started gardening again. (Coleman used to years ago, and LeAura always had lots of thriving indoor plants).

It’s actually a cool story.

We had created a vision board of our future goals and plans. It included a farm on our land with a cabin that’s in the country about 28 miles from where we are now, (also somewhat in the country, but smaller and woods with a lowland bog).

Then, long before we were ready, and out of the blue, a lady approached us about buying the GardensAll.com website. So… we took it as a sign that our dream was unfolding, even before we were ready.

We’re writers—amongst other things—and we wanted to get back into gardening and growing healthy organic food, AND we love to share, so a garden website was a perfect fit.

With the various economic downturns and huge personal and business losses, our dreams had been delayed. You know how it is… there’s rarely a perfect time. But as the popular quote goes (to paraphrase), once you commit the universe conspires to help you.

So our goal is to grow increasingly into more gardening and eventually, farming with a focus on specialty crops and experimentation. We’re also going to get more back into Coleman’s roots in landscape design.

Some of you are way ahead of us and we love learning from you and sharing your knowledge with others in the GardensAll and Planting for Retirement communities.

We know that our little indoor greenhouse and patch of garden in the woods is tiny compared to some of your real greenhouses and huge gardens and even farms. But hey… we all just keep growing up as we can, and celebrating each other’s progress.

Our goal is to increase our library of articles and contributing writers over time. Even better if written by (or based on information contributed by) fellow gardeners, growers and enthusiasts.

We’ll share more on the industry scoop on that in a future email.

For now, the plan is to send a short daily message with tips, information and/or inspiration, beginning tomorrow.

Meanwhile, here's an article from this weekLet us know what kind of edible ground cover you're growing!

Please do not hesitate to send us a note on what you like, don’t like and would like more of.

If you’d like to share anything for us to publish, please feel free to reply with your ideas and we’ll put it in queue to share too.

It can be any garden wisdom you’ve discovered along the way, favorite garden or nature quotes, tips or how-tos or whatever you’re working on.

🍃🌺🍃Let us know what you want to see more of as well.🍃🌺🍃

Today’s quote is one example of a clever comment from a member of our Planting for Retirement Facebook group, which we’re sharing with you as a meme (shareable image with quote).

Please feel free to forward or share with any friends, family and social groups you think might enjoy it. And as always, let us know what you’re up to.

"Gardening is a learning curve that’s more like a wavy line."
