Subject: Slugs… Powdery Mildew... Llamas & Wine

GREETINGS, FRIEND!

Grateful to be “visiting” with you again today. Please feel free to reply with your gardening focus of the week. Successes… failures… discoveries… joys… frustrations… #life!

This weekend we celebrated Coleman’s 68th birthday by visiting a llama farm vineyard - the largest llama farm in the southeast, Divine Llama Vineyards. It's so cool to see a successful farming operation run by two families, (the founders and then joined by their friends - another husband and wife team). They've creatively blended two different industries in interesting ways, such as llama treks and naming their wines after their winning llamas. #farmingideas

Contrary to popular myth, llamas do not usually spit at people like camels are known to do, so all went well. We also got to taste a couple wines, although they didn’t have Coleman’s preference of craft beer... they are a vineyard, after all, and not a brewery!

Coleman wanted to stop by a nursery. You know... "just to look at the plants". But even though it was his b'day, we talked him out of it. :-D We're in the thick of the summer jungle as it is and need to take care of what we have. He opted for ice cream instead. Whew... close call! ;-)
