"The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just the body, but the soul." ~Alfred Austin, English poet, Poet Laureate, 1835-1913 |

Greetings, Gardener!
Today’s Garden Snippet is on the garden planner we use. We don’t get any affiliate kickback on this… we just love using it to sketch and plan out our garden each year, so sharing it with you.
GARDEN PLANNING TIP Enjoy drooling over all the seed catalogs… I know you’ve probably been doing that since December!
Just don’t let them lure you astray, (if they haven’t already! :-D).
Many gardeners begin each season so fired up to plant so many things, then come mid summer, they’re overwhelmed by how much work needs to be done to keep it all up. #BeenThereDoneThat.
Best to make a wish list of all you’d like to grow, but remember your bandwidth of time and garden space. A little planning up front can save money, heartache and backache down the road.
We wrote more about that concept of how gardening can be like investing.
I (Coleman) love using an online garden planner for prioritizing where we focus our garden time. It’s not hard to learn, is fun to work with and saves so much time in planning your entire growing season and spaces, year after year. |
