SUNDAY GREETINGS, GARDENER!
This is brief as we’re busy out in the garden! YAY!! If you’ve ever had crops demolished by pests (and probably every gardener has), then you’ll know the merit in the old saying [paraphrased]:
“An ounce of prevention is worth many pounds of healthy squash!” ~GardensAll
So we’re putting in all that we can toward squash bug prevention.
But… should you need to get rid of them, when that time rolls around, we’ve got that covered too.
RECIPES: A daily favorite breakfast around here is egg bake that we make with garden goodies. Here’s our broccoli mushroom cheese egg bake.
And we loved these scrambled egg quesadillas! We made our last batch with ramps, but you can also use spring onions, wild onions or chives, all of which are plentiful now in our zone 7a.
Speaking of squash, one of our favorite winter squash soups is this “Gypsy soup”.
From our busy garden to yours,
