A NOTE ON THESE TROUBLED TIMES
Friend, in these troubled times, we wanted to take a moment if we may, to encourage you to not dwell in worry and fear, but rather, to have hope and faith for a much better future that will arise from the chaos.
Worry simply borrows trouble from the future around all kinds of imaginings that may never come to pass.
Towards that, we stay focused on remembering and noticing all that's good, such as our ability to grow our own food, the majesty and wonders of nature and the many examples of kindness and compassion in the world. We firmly believe that the vast majority of people in the world are good people, and that good will win out.
We also exercise daily gratitude and appreciation for the many blessings all around us.
It's true, that "what we focus on, grows", so the more we can focus on that which is good and right and true, the more of that we see and experience in our lives. That is our ardent hope and prayer for you.
Thank you for allowing us to share these thoughts from our hearts to yours. Now... onto plants!
TRIFOLIATE ORANGE: A COLD HARDY CITRUS CALLED FLYING DRAGON
This 'Hardy Orange' fruit is cold hardy down to zone 5. While this 'Trifoliate Orange' is not a delicious fruit, it has uses and health benefits that we value. The seeds can be used for similar benefits as grapefruit seed extract, so you can easily make your own "GSE" antibacterial and medicinal extract using the "Flying Dragon Fruit" seeds.
Are you growing any kind of cold hardy citrus? We're working on that research for another article soon, and enjoy hearing and learning from your experience.
In Faith, Hope and Gratitude,
