Subject: Happy Mother's Day!!!

Mother's Day Greetings, Friend!

Even if you're not a mother, you're growing gardens and/or nurturing plants to life.

And THAT is something to celebrate!

GARDENING IS BOOMING!

Yesterday Coleman visited the largest of the farmer’s markets in our area and it was great to see the throngs of customers there... it was packed! It seemed like it was more crowded than the pre Covid-19 spring Saturdays.

Indeed, reports are that categories of gardening are up. Percentages vary, depending on which report you read, so after spending 45 minutes trying to find a specific and reliable number to cite, we backed off including that info here.

When LeAura said that she just went to find a number to share and fell down the rabbit hole of conflicting information, Coleman remarked, “So when does a sidebar become a coral reef!” 😄 Guessing you may have had such 'fell down a rabbit hole' moments online. We’ve all been there.

Bottom line? After visiting the farmer’s market, it’s clear that the gardening industry is booming now and it’s so wonderful to see so many more first time gardeners getting into it,

Often, the best “survey” is our personal observations from experience!

But what we can share from the survey that we found interesting is this chart on the reasons people garden.

LONGEVITY SPINACH - GYNURA PROCUMBENS

We put this in all kinds of things and enjoy it dried for tea as well. What we love about some of the greens that may not be the favorite for flavor, (though sometimes that’s just a matter of familiarity), is how you can dry and powder them and put them in everything.
