SUNDAY SOLACE, GARDENER!
No matter how bad things are, there’s always something good to be found. Like life in the garden… we know that good things grow from the fertilizer.
When we go out to the garden, we don’t spend time dwelling on the crap. Rather, we focus on bringing good things to life… on growing and caring for things.
So let’s keep on doing that, no matter what. Focus on the good and you’’ll have more of that.
FIRE THE FEAR Amidst the fears and uncertainties pulsating alarmingly through the body of humanity right now, please consider elevating yourself and those around you. Focus on gratitude, beauty, positivity and prudence, for these have the power to diffuse fear.
If the worst case scenario were to happen next week, or in a month, there’s nothing we can do about it. However, one thing is for certain, we can change our reaction to it and the story of what that does to us.
Worry, fear and panic will not serve us. Gratitude, will. Love, will. Planting and growing things, will.
DWELL ON THE GOOD.
Meanwhile, in the garden…
Soil Health and Wisdom from the Weeds
Have you ever noticed how some weeds grow in one area and not another? It turns out you can learn what you need to know about your soil health without soil testing. To learn any language requires taking the time to learn to and study. However, once you learn it, its yours for life, without the need for a soil tester. You will just need to study the language of the soil by observing the weeds that want to grow there and learning what that means. Growing Peanuts? Most gardeners have never thought about the option to grow peanuts. Peanuts are one of Americas beloved foods (those with allergies aside), where peanut butter is practically a staple food. And it’s not just kids who love a good ole PBJ sandwich, right? So if you love peanuts you may want to give it a try. You can grow peanuts in climates up through Nova Scotia, but you may need some space to plant enough for it to amount to anything. Tree Water - Last week we shared about maple tree tapping. This week the angle is on tree water, a prized health elixir that’s a growing specialty business, plus, a survival skill. “To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.”~Audrey Hepburn So let’s go plant a garden, friend! From the heart...
