HAPPY SUNDAY 2020 GREETINGS, GARDENER!
Caught you thumbing through seed catalogs, aye...? đ
We planted our first flat of early crops for 2019. The Bok Choy seeds were leftovers from last year and packets of Mizuna and Kale were new varieties we wanted to try out this year. Kale, cabbage, and other brassicas like collards and chard do well in cool weather and limited sun. We grow several varieties of kale alone. Theoretically, we could do without ordering any new seeds and plant the leftovers from last year and, in some cases, from several years ago. Check out our coverage of seed viability. That said, there were some very enticing new items (at least, new to us) in the catalogues that we plan to try out this year. If your garden space is confined like ours, then making the right selections in the planning stage is critical. If you need a little help with your 2020 garden plans, check out this Gardensall write-up, How to Decide What Vegetables to Grow. Grow Babies Grow!
So letâs have the BEST and MOST BOUNTIFUL garden year ever! Please, keep us posted on your garden planning and planting in 2020. Comments and photos are always appreciated throughout the GardensAll community.
