FALL REDS: The red maples are breathtakingly vivid this year, this photo is untouched. Incredible!! GREETINGS, FRIEND! Wow… Almost December!!! For us, this year is flying by, but for many, it feels more like it’s crawling. We work from home anyway, and most of our work is online, so not much has changed in that regard. Slow or fast… hot or cold… sick or well… we can always find something for which to be grateful. Nature in her beauty and majesty, creativity and hilarity, keeps us grounded in gratitude as well, and gratitude sure feels better than grumpiness, or worse.
THANKSGIVING Speaking of gratitude, we hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving. We did. Smaller than our usual already small family gatherings with several of the “kids” away, but still lovely and cozy. Sharing a photo of our simple healthy appetizers, that included fuyu persimmons that we’re loving every day. Such a GREAT crop this year, even after our poor tree got split in half by hurricane Zeta winds. We now know they need more pruning and support once so heavily laden with fruit. We’d love to have an orchard of fuyus some day so that we have plenty to eat fresh, some to give away and then some to freeze, dry and preserve. Such an amazing fruit! |
