Subject: GARDEN disPATCH: Gardening Therapy

Garden Greetings!

Another brief disPATCH AS Coleman is in Atlanta, in this, his second week of business trips and we're petal to the metal here.  (Typo intended 😉)

Speaking of petals, our star magnolia is blooming from the mild NC February. The plants think it's March!

We're still harvesting our winter crops... broccoli, arugula this week. So grateful for almost year round growing options. Even if you're in a colder climate, hopefully you're walking your garden now and then and keeping your fingers in the soil, even if it's just with your indoor plants. We know you have 'em!

Just one article to share this week. We know you can relate to it!

How to Relieve Stress? Gardening!

“The garden is my happy place.”

We know you can relate to that quote! You know that gardening feeds more than your body… (if you’re growing food). It also feeds your soul!

Chances are, you’re also aware that gardening has been proven to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. But did you know that there are actually “happy” soil microbes that contribute to our overall health and wellbeing?

So when you say you like to play in the dirt, or get your hands in the soil… science has proven there’s more to it than a love of plants and nature

Gardeners tend to be healthier, happier and live longer. The garden is their happy place.
Wishing you a wonderful week of spring garden dreaming, planning, canning and whatever else you're up to. And if you're snowed in... well stay cozy, enjoy what you have where you are and keep the faith!
