Greetings, Gardener! I just returned from a business trip down in Texas. Cities like Houston are OK to visit, but we’re definitely “country mice”. City life is great for a lot of folks but every time I return home from a big city, I so appreciate our little Eden in a little country town north of Winston-Salem.
The semi-rural life is our cup of tea.

Do You Drink Tea or Coffee or Both?
For us, it’s both. We’re mostly coffee drinkers, and grind organic coffee beans ourselves. LeAura drinks “butter coffee with coconut oil”. Sounds weird, but it’s actually, surprisingly amazing. And I favor coffee mocha… more on that here along with information on Uses for Used Tea Bags. |

Flowers for Breakfast Our son Nikolai served up breakfast this morning: egg bake with roasted veggies and also wild rice (missing from this photo).
Not only did he make it and serve it, but he also thoughtfully topped it with lovely pansy blossoms! That reminded us that we needed to update and share our Edible Flowers article. It’s going to be massive, but here’s what we have so far. |

Speaking of our son, Nikolai, he has a dog website that he's working on, inspired by his rescue pup, Zeus, the labrottie. (Or so we thought, but that's another story we need to write).
We're off to walk the dogs and bike some hills.
May this be the BEST year ever for gardening in your own little Eden... and may you get through February first! :-)
