Greetings, Gardener!
I awoke this morning with a song most of you would recognize. Joni MItchell circa 1969, Woodstock. But the last word of the chorus came through as a homonym, in a bit of an imagined Bostonian accent. And yet the meanings weren’t all that different.
Here’s that line: “And we’ve got to get ourselves back to the garden.” (Only it came in as “God in”, in a sort of Bostonian accent).
Going into our little Eden is like meeting with the Creator, especially if I’m tuned in to the life energy flowing around and through the earth and sky. I’m imagining you might be able to relate…?
And here’s the thing… in this time of Covid-19, the good news is that more people are quickly moving to gardening.
Our Spring garden is in place for now. Here’s a look at our current layout.

| For creating these layouts, as we’ve shared before, we use The Garden Planner. We’re not affiliated, nor are they a sponsor. We just love the tool.
We’ve planted Early Girl tomatoes in containers, bringing them into the little greenhouse during cold nights. Tomatoes can do just fine in containers.
Right now our simple 6 X 10 ft greenhouse is doubling as a cold frame where we have starters in flats that will be planted out soon. We’ve written about our first modest greenhouse project before, but we always have new folks joining our list, so we recycle things periodically.
One of the fallout effects of the CV-19 is that it’s hard to find seeds for our favorite crops. We love the Baker Creek (Rare Heirloom Seeds) folks, but so much of what they have listed on-line is out of stock. We’ve found some decent on-line sources like Burpee Seed Co., but they are way way slow at delivering.
The good news is that we still have numerous seed packets left over from past seasons-some going back to 2017. Nearly all seeds are viable much longer than their stamped dates indicate. Have a look at our article on seed saving and viability of various vegetable seeds.
We’ve not trucked down to any of the home improvement stores or to WalMart. They may have seeds and plants in stock.
We’re liking to stay local these days. We have a local plant nursery that has about all the seedlings we’ll need. They were busy as ever last week.
We send everyone of you our heartfelt best wishes for good health and an amazing garden this year. Hey, don’t forget to plant extra and make it a Victory Garden.

Something to Enjoy
WARNING: there’s one expletive in the song, but aside from that, it’s very much worth a listen… something all gardeners can relate to.
We hope you enjoyed that as much as we did. Please let us know how you're doing and what's happening in your corner of the garden.
May your gardens flourish and your harvests be bountiful, and when you look upon your little Eden, may you see that it is good. Coleman & LeAura GardensAll.com
